Day 6 - Round
You follow the star signs toward a small solar system with a single inhabited planet. It looks similar to Earth - large swaths of water, lots of green, about the same size. But, as you descend, your radio turns on and a loud, nasally voice blares into the cabin.
“Are you looking for something but not sure what you want? Do you have money burning a hole in your pocket, desperate to be spent? Come on down to the market and find what you need, and plenty of what you don’t!”
Well, what’s a road trip without stopping by some flea market and checking out the local wares? You punch in the coordinates, kick on the auto-drive, and sit back for a swift descent to the planet’s surface. You find a place to park the Aerostar and hoof it over to the marketplace.
There, you see two kinds of aliens. One type has a huge mouth, commonly carrying a megaphone-style device, and is barking to the passers-by, desperate to get them to buy something. The other… well, they don’t seem to have a head of any sort, opting instead to calmly gesture with their arms toward their stalls. You look through their two offerings, and while they seem eerily similar, they don’t have much that catches your eye. You’d like to find something for your van. What should you be looking for?
-
The words above the stalls each hint to a one-word answer. The answers on the left will be in alphabetical order. You’ll then be able to pair up each answer on the left to an answer on the right.
Also, the stall on the right is the one from the headless alien described in the story…
-
“Prevent from flying” clues to the word GROUND, while “Circular” clues to ROUND (the “headless” form of GROUND).
-
Once you’ve paired up the answers, put them in the order given by the right-hand stall. Use the “beheaded” letters in that order.
