Day 5 - Sign
Your FTL thrusters disengage. You’re able to sit up and look outside your windows for the first time since leaving the Milky Way. And, as you look around, you realize you’re in a completely different place in the universe. There’s nothing here - no planets, no sun, no asteroids. Just the void of space.
As you drift along, a cluster of stars begins to coalesce in front of you. They’re all jumbled together and brightly colored. They seem to be placed here on purpose. Their arrangement makes you want to connect them together, forming shapes of creatures an animals you left far behind on Earth. While staring at them, it does seem like these stars were put here for a specific purpose.
You travel forward, using these stars as you would bright neon signs, guiding you to a destination. But, why would someone put all these stars here in the first place? What are they trying to attract?
-
Seven constellations have been superimposed on each other here. The colored stars can help you orient yourself - all stars of the same color belong to the same constellation.
-
Each of the constellations depicted is from one of the twelve Astrological signs. You can view them here: Astrological Constellations image
-
Count the colored stars in each constellation and use that to index into the constellation’s name.
To index, count that many letters into the word and use that letter.
