Day 3 - Musical

Your first day of travel is great - you zoom past Mars, check out Saturn’s rings, and even visit poor Pluto while exiting the Milky Way in search for adventure. You’re singing along to your mixed tape, featuring songs from the objectively best shows, when disaster strikes. As you hear gears grinding inside your cassette player, tape starts spewing from the opening and depositing itself all over your grimy van floor. You should have cleaned better before you left.

You frantically slam the eject button and gather your precious cassette tape. You fumble around in the center console, retrieve an old #2 pencil, and start respooling the cassette. You hope it isn’t too badly damaged, but you do see some detritus stuck to the tape as it winds back together.

Once complete with your makeshift repairs, you put the cassette back into the player and hear an entirely different mix. It seems this once award-winning music has been all jumbled around, and has picked up some extra bits from the floor.

Maybe, if you can recreate the original shows and return them to their proper order, what was added can help you reconstruct the back side of the cassette… or at least a less high-speed version of what used to be there.
